Supplier claims vs original documentation

Decide what kind of evidence a statement requires before deciding whether it is supported.

A claim ledger for either supplier

Statement	Evidence to inspect	What not to infer
Purity	Original report, method, sample identifier and the reported result.	A quantity measurement or blanket suitability for human use.
Identity	Reported identity method and the exact sample/material label.	That a similarly named blend or formulation is equivalent.
Amount	A reported quantitative assay or other relevant quantity measurement.	That an HPLC area percentage alone proves vial content.
Origin	Manufacturer and lot-linked production records.	That a domestic laboratory or warehouse establishes manufacture.
Availability	Current supplier listing and order terms.	A promise based on an older cached page.

Apply the same standard to PEL

Use the original PEL report directory and current product page. The presence of a document does not remove the need to match the selected option and supplied lot. When a product has no displayed report, the correct next step is a documentation question, not substitution of another product’s certificate.

Keep a dated comparison

Save the exact source URL, date, wording, product/lot and the question the source answers. A later report or restored website can change the comparison. Separate direct observations from interpretation.
